Reds finally acting like they care

Reds are finally making moves to show they care about winning to their fan base. So far this off season they have landed a stud closer in Cordero, and today they traded Josh Hamilton for two young pitchers. Volquez throws up near 100 mph and was sick in the minors last year, after being called up in September he pitched well for Texas. If everyone stays healthy, for the first time in a long time they Reds have a chance in their division.

    1B: Hatteberg
    2B: Phillips
    SS: Gonzalez
    3B: Encarnacion
    C: Ross/Valentin
    LF: Dunn
    CF: Bruce
    RF: Griffey

    SP: Harang
    SP: Arroyo
    SP: Volquez
    SP: Belisle
    SP: Bailey

The depth they have at pitching is getting better as well, Maloney, Cueto, and others could push the bottom three if they struggle. The bullpen will also be improved with Cordero, allowing Weathers to go back to setup man. No where close to a championship team but at least they got a chance in the central.

It won't make a difference. They'll lead the division on 4/25, then be 15 games under by the break.

I'm just glad they are trying for a change. At least Jimmy Haynes wont be running out to the mound anytime soon.

I too know that feeling. I'm just hoping we don't get a [censored] owner.

If only they could land Bedard, I'd like our chances a lot more. Not sure how I feel about trading Bailey for him though. Castellini is going to do what he can to produce a winner in Cincinnati!

Put Votto in at first instead of Hatteberg and I like your lineup more!

I agree but I dont see Dusty playing Votto over the vet Hatty.
